What Was Given to Us is adapted from an original oil painting exploring trust, inheritance, guidance, and the unseen things passed from one person to another.
Two blindfolded figures are connected through touch and presence, creating tension between protection and uncertainty. A halo-like form gives the work a spiritual undertone while leaving the meaning open enough to sit between faith, inheritance, burden, and care.
Ten percent of sales is donated to charitable causes that help fund art programs or put art supplies in the hands of people without access.
