What Was Given to Us explores trust, inheritance, guidance, and the unseen things passed from one person to another.
Two blindfolded figures are connected through touch and proximity, creating a tension between protection and uncertainty. A luminous halo-like form behind them introduces a sacred presence, while the blindfolds suggest faith, dependence, and the ways beliefs, burdens, instincts, and love can shape us before we fully understand them.
The work holds tenderness and ambiguity at once. It asks whether what we inherit becomes a source of direction, a weight to carry, or both — and what it means to move forward when neither person can fully see the path ahead.
